That's great, but then the long days spent in the car going from one house to another. The strict schedule meeting with this buyer and then that buyer then the meeting with the seller and don't forget to get over to the closing of that house that you just sold! You busy and your body is taking a beating.
Take time to breath. You need a break from t
he stress of it all! Here are a few quick tips to win big as a real estate agent!
Get an increase of energy by getting plenty of sleep.
To help you sleep better make sure your pillow is supporting your head and not allowing your head to fall deep into it. If your in the market for a new mattress make sure you spend at least 5 minutes in each sleeping position you prefer while in the store. This way you know for sure if it is the right mattress for you. Turn off all electronic devices 1 hour before bedtime. Read a book or spend time with your family. Our lives are busy and chaotic at times, so its nice to take time to talk to each other and truly listen to each other.
Slow down a little. Yes yes, I know you have to be here at 9 am and across town by 10 am. I get it! but be sure to take time a little time through out the day and remember to breath. Try to not scarf down your food when you're eating your lunch. Take a moment to to chew your food. Digestion starts with chewing, your saliva has enzymes that helps to start breaking down the food. Your mouth starts to water the moment you smell the food and poorly digested food can lead to all kinds of other health issues that may limit your career.
Pick your battles- Don't stress yourself out if something doesn't go the way you think it should. You may not see the reason for it now, Just take a moment reevaluate the situation, come up with a new plan and then take action. Most of the time we want to take action with out a plan only to find that the new course isn't working out. Plan your day, from the moment you leave the house in the morning all the way to the moment you're going to bed. Do the high Priority tasks first, get them out of the way and then rest will get done easier because your not thinking of all the other stuff you should have gotten done by now.
Multitasking is killing your productivity and damaging your brain! Research conducted at Stanford University found that multitasking is less productive than doing a single thing at a time. The researchers also found that people who are regularly bombarded with several streams of electronic information cannot pay attention, recall information, or switch from one job to another as well as those who complete one task at a time. But what if some people have a special gift for multitasking? The Stanford researchers compared groups of people based on their tendency to multitask and their belief that it helps their performance. They found that heavy multitaskers—those who multitask a lot and feel that it boosts their performance—were actually worse at multitasking than those who like to do a single thing at a time. The frequent multitaskers performed worse because they had more trouble organizing their thoughts and filtering out irrelevant information, and they were slower at switching from one task to another. Ouch.Multitasking reduces your efficiency and performance because your brain can only focus on one thing at a time. When you try to do two things at once, your brain lacks the capacity to perform both tasks successfully. This part was taken from Forbes.com you can read the full article >here<
